Things that make me happy... FAMILY, chocolate covered strawberries, making people laugh, playing with my niece, skydiving, playing the 'guess who sings this song game', conversations with my mother, being an Aggie, cuddling, a good book, Christmas time, Modern Family, feeling the spirit, laughing until you feel your abs getting a workout, the perfect song, my best friends, seeing the world...

Let's Hear It For New York....

Hello Friends!! This last weekend we took a little trip up north to NEW YORK CITY...i know your jealous!! It truly is a place where dreams come true!! It was amazing! You never truly know how places really are until you actually get to see them! It was so exciting driving up and seeing the city line of buildings across the horizon! SOOO CRAZY!!! So i'm thinking i might have to split up this trip into a couple posts cause i went camera crazy, so get excited!!

Friday:
We first got there around 2:00 and can i say how crazy traffic is there, talk about getting anxiety from a traffic jam! We made it to our Hotel in SOHO and walked to what we found out was Little Italy for lunch!! Yum!! Our hotel was right by Chinatown and Little Italy... of course Little Italy was my favorite!! Coolest street ever!! After lunch we decided to hit  the south end of the Island! We first visited Wall Street!! Whoa...talk about huge buildings and business men! We saw the famous bull and the New York Stock Exchange! It was super fun to see the bull that is shown in so many movies!! After Wall Street we headed towards Ground Zero... what a spiritual place. Not many of you probably know this, unless you've gone to New York but just east of Ground Zero there is a church that still stands, which became a safe refuge for volunteers, rescue workers, etc, during this tragic event. It's surprising how close it is to the site and was never touched or damaged. They had memorabilia and pictures of that sad day and i couldn't help but get choked up. I remember that day, like it was yesterday. Once our time came to go to the actual cite we headed over there. What a beautiful tribute to those who had passed. You also get a glimpse of the new towers they are building! The tallest one is standing now! I loved this experience! We finished with our tour and then headed back to Little Italy for dinner!! We were exhausted so we headed back to the Hotel!

It's now tradition to take a silly picture of the family in an elevator
that has mirrors (our hotel)... we 're cool like that!!

The Bull
South Tower
North Tower... Coincidence that the name in this picture has most of
my first name in it? I didn't notice until after i took the picture!

Best Food EVER!!

 To be continued....  xoxo
